A celebration of talent, featuring several decades of company Alumni returning to the Williamstown stage.

WILLIAMSTOWN TOWN HALL

SATURDAY 5 SEPTEMBER AT 7.30PM

PERFORMER EXPRESSIONS
OF INTEREST

Following the success over the last four years, we are delighted to be producing our now annual ENCORE 2026 concert - a celebration of talent, featuring several decades of company Alumni who will be returning to the Williamstown stage on Saturday 5 September 2026.

Founded with the purpose of cultivating continued interest and participation in musical theatre, we are proud of our long line of alumni, and continually find inspiration from their achievements, interests and actions.

As a WMTC Alumni you are invited to submit an expression of interest to be part of our 2026 concert cast.

A few things to consider:

  • The concert will take place on the evening of Saturday 5 September 2026 at the Williamstown Town Hall. You will be required for the entire day.

  • You will be able to nominate your level of commitment to the concert as part of the expressions of interest form.

  • Rehearsals will take place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7.00pm and Sunday evenings from 5.30pm starting from Sunday 3 May 2026

  • You won’t necessarily be required for all rehearsals each week but the expectation is that you attend those you are scheduled for. A rehearsal schedule will be provided once our cast is confirmed and an onboarding process completed. You are expected to be available on these days throughout the rehearsal period.

  • The performance opportunity is created for our Alumni performers from as far back as the 50’s to our most recent productions to perform again. So whilst this opportunity is open to anyone connected to WMTC, if numbers need to be restricted, priority will be given to our more mature performers.

  • Once our cast is confirmed, cast members will be required to complete an onboarding process with the company as well as becoming a company member for $25.00.

  • While there is no formal audition required to be part of this opportunity, we would love the chance to get to know your voice and performance style a little better. If you are new to our Production Team, or if you would like to be considered for a solo, duo, or a featured vocal part within the concert, you will be required to prepare a song and come down on Sunday 19 April 2025 and sing for the production team.

You’re welcome to prepare a song of your choice that you feel best showcases your abilities, or a song that you would like us to consider including in the concert. This is a relaxed and supportive session designed to help us identify the most suitable concert numbers for each performer.

We have provided a list of some of the large group numbers already selected for this year's show so if there is a number you’d like a featured part in, you might choose to sing that for your audition. We have provided backing tracks and sheet music for you to use for these numbers.

Click here for sheet music and backing tracks for the below numbers.

  • Putting It Together - A Sondheim Review (orignally from  Sunday in The Park with George but it is the review version we will be doing) *

  • Proud Mary - Tina the Musical *

  • One Day More - Les Miserable *

  • Bring on The Men - Jekyll and Hyde *

  • Money - Cabaret (girl or guy) * The track provided is the movie version but you are welcome to use the recent stage version/s

  • Get Me To The Church On Time - My Fair Lady

  • Sweet Caroline - A Beautiful Noise * (The Neil Diamond Story).

  • Thriller - MJ The Musical (TBC for the show). Track provided but not sheet music.  Come on, you all know it :)

  • Blow Gabrielle Blow - Anything Goes *

* We don’t have a gender preference for these songs.

If the above takes your fancy and you would like to be involved, please complete the online expression of interest form below by 5.00pm, Sunday 12 April 2026.

We are delighted to again be bringing you ENCORE 2026, a celebration of talent, featuring some of the several decades of company Alumni returning to the Williamstown stage.

Founded with the purpose of cultivating continued interest and participation in musical theatre, we are proud of our long line of alumni, and continually find inspiration from their achievements, interests and actions. Showcasing memorable moments of times gone by, as well as a collection of hits from the modern day musical, ENCORE 2026 has something for everyone.

For some of the cast, it has been a very long time since they last threw on the ol’ character shoes and stepped out into the spotlight. No doubt there will be some very deep breaths backstage followed by broad smiles on faces, as they step out on stage to give it another go.
